Laura Smith Davies

Prior to joining Fran Haasch Law Group Accident & Injury Lawyers, Ms. Davies worked as an attorney in her hometown of Key West, Florida. There, she handled a range of legal matters, including personal injury claims, criminal defense issues, family law matters, and civil litigation. This broad base of litigation experience allowed her an in-depth understanding of how to help people in crisis. Ms. Davies understands that each and every client is dealing with something that has an immense impact on his or her life. With this in mind, she makes it her mission to provide her clients with the empathetic legal services and level of respect they deserve. Ms. Davies understands that a client-centric approach is equally as important as aggressive representation in the courtroom. Ms. Davies is admitted to practice in all state courts of Florida, as well as the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. She was selected for inclusion in the Florida Super Lawyers® Rising Stars list in 2010. She has also served as past President, Vice President, and Secretary of the Monroe County Bar Association and served multiple terms as the past President and Secretary/Treasurer of the Monroe County Chapter of Criminal Defense Attorneys. Ms. Davies has also had the distinction of serving as a Judge for the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office Teen Court program and also served on the Board of Directors at her local Police Athletic League. She has also been a member of several legal organizations, including The Florida Justice Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, The Florida Bar, and the American Bar Association. When preparing personal injury and wrongful death cases on behalf of her clients, Ms. Davies conducts thorough research and exhaustive investigations in order to determine exactly what happened and who is liable. She frequently communicates with her clients in order to better understand the full extent of their injuries and the complete impact the accident has had on their lives. She then uses this to build strong cases designed to secure the best possible outcome for her clients.
